These funds can be awarded by the federal government, state government, private sponsors or the College. Paying for College 101

  • Begin your search at Jarvis Christian University.
  • Make sure you have completed your FAFSA. (Jarvis Christian University School Code: 003637)
  • Identify and make a list of your strengths and accomplishments.
  • Be serious and organized, compile your essay, resume, recommendation/thank you letters, ACT/SAT scores, transcript and social security number.
  • Figure out what kind of scholarship you want to look for: major, academic merit, musical, artistic talent, athletic, service, etc.
  • Set a daily goal to apply for as many scholarships as possible: Remember, If You Do Not Apply For Scholarships You Cannot Be Awarded.
  • Start with your local hometown church, businesses and organizations to increase your odds.
  • Once you have found applicable scholarships, apply for them as soon as possible.

Beware of scholarship scams! Never, ever pay a fee to apply for scholarships.
