QUALIFICATIONS:

•	A  bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
•	5 years of experience with clerical, administrative and customer service skills
•	A precise command of grammar, punctuation, spelling and correct usage of the English language is required
•	Attention to detail
•	Excellent organizational skills are required
•	Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, use initiative and make substantive decisions quickly
•	Ability to multi-task
•	Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent written and oral communications skills. 
•	Strong computer information system skills, including high level competence in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) and ability to learn other systems as necessary.  
•	Proven ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment. 
•	Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•	Provide advanced secretarial skills in typing, filing, record-keeping, correspondence, and reception duties
•	Facilitates the efficient utilization of the President's time through development and coordination of a complex calendar of appointments, meetings, social engagements, and University and community functions with individuals and groups.
•	Performs records management of a complex filing system by overseeing the filing system, creating, updating, purging and retrieving files and documents as needed 
•	Gather and compile information,
•	Take and transcribe dictation, type reports, forms, memorandums, other documents, and speeches for the office
•	Disseminating information regarding the departmental function to other departments
•	Receive visitors, convey telephone messages, answer questions for  students, faculty and staff
•	Perform all tasks with accuracy under close time limitations
•	Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to enhance the operation of the office
•	Routinely inform administrator/manager of schedules, obligations, and commitments
•	Schedule appointments with manager/administrator
•	Maintain confidentiality of all documents and conversations within the president’s office
•	Arrange itineraries for business travel
•	Coordinates the flow of incoming communications and outgoing communications by receiving, routing, and/or responding to incoming communications and determining the appropriate office, department, or agency for outgoing communications.
