Unity in the Community Prayer Breakfast

Purpose of the Unity in the Community Prayer Breakfast

The Unity in the Community Prayer Breakfast at Jarvis Christian University fosters unity, promotes spiritual renewal, and inspires collaboration among community members, faith leaders, and university students. Grounded in the university’s Christian mission, this annual event brings together diverse individuals and organizations to engage in a shared moment of reflection, prayer, and dialogue.

The purpose of the prayer breakfast is to:

  • Celebrate Faith and Fellowship: Unite people from different walks of life in an atmosphere of spiritual fellowship, encouraging connections that transcend differences in background, faith, and experience.
  • Promote Community Engagement: Strengthen relationships between the university, local churches, and community organizations to work together toward shared goals of service, education, and upliftment.
  • Encourage Prayerful Reflection: Provide a sacred space for communal prayer, encouraging participants to reflect on personal and collective challenges, seek guidance, and renew their sense of purpose.
  • Support Student Development: Inspire students with messages of hope, leadership, and service, emphasizing the importance of faith-based values in shaping their future roles as community and global leaders.

By promoting a spirit of unity and inclusion, the Unity in the Community Prayer Breakfast reflects Jarvis Christian University’s commitment to its core values of faith, service, and excellence, while engaging with the broader community in meaningful ways.
