Are you managing your mental health? There has been a persistent influx of student's mental health on college campuses throughout the nation. Amid massive increases, it's important to embrace a culture of well-being when helping students manage their mental health. During the 2020–2021 school year, more than 60% of college students met the criteria for at least one mental health problem, according to the Healthy Minds Study, which collects data from 373 campuses nationwide (Lipson, S. K., et al., Journal of Affective Disorders, Vol. 306, 2022). College students are managing an array of of challenges from coursework, relationships, strenuous athletic practices, adjustment to campus life to economic strain, etc. This is why college campuses must make a campus-wide effort to address students' mental health needs...let's start by coming out and listening to Carla McKenzie from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services on Thursday, January 19th at 3 pm and Amazon gift cards will be raffled off for engaged participants!
