The institution was born from the vision of Major James Jarvis and Ida Van Zandt Jarvis, whose dedication to education and service laid the foundation for generations of scholars and leaders. Founders’ Homecoming is a time to honor their legacy and reflect on the university’s journey, growth, and contributions to higher education.
