The Jarvis Christian University Concert Choir is a dynamic and diverse group of students united by a shared passion for music and a commitment to excellence in choral performance. Whether you're an experienced vocalist or someone who simply loves to sing, the University Concert Choir offers a welcoming and supportive environment where you can develop your musical talents, build lifelong friendships, and contribute to the rich cultural life of our campus.
Our Mission: The University Concert Choir is dedicated to fostering a love of music and choral singing among students of all backgrounds and abilities. We strive to achieve the highest standards of musical performance, while also promoting personal growth, community engagement, and a deep appreciation for the arts.
What We Do
- Choral Performances: The University Concert Choir performs a wide range of music, from classical masterpieces to contemporary works, spirituals, and multicultural pieces. We participate in concerts, university events, and special performances throughout the academic year, both on and off campus.
- Musical Development: Members of the choir receive professional-level training in vocal technique, sight-reading, and ensemble singing. We work with talented directors and guest artists to help each member reach their full potential as a vocalist.
- Community & Fellowship: Being part of the University Choir is about more than just singing—it's about building a community. Choir members form strong bonds as they rehearse, perform, and grow together, creating memories that last a lifetime.
- Travel & Tours: The choir also has opportunities to participate in regional, national, and international tours, bringing our music to audiences around the world and experiencing new cultures through the lens of choral music.
