HAWKINS, TX — Jarvis Christian University is proud to announce that Klarc Naomi, the dynamic vocalist and rising R&B and gospel star, will be the featured performer at the VIP Reception preceding the university’s prestigious Pioneer Hall of Fame and Preeminence Awards Gala on Friday, March 21, 2025. The VIP Reception, which honors distinguished guests, donors, and awardees, will serve as the kickoff to one of the university’s most anticipated Homecoming events.

Known for her soulful voice, compelling stage presence, and heartfelt lyrics, Klarc Naomi brings a unique blend of contemporary and classic influences to her music. Her performance at the VIP Reception is expected to create an atmosphere of elegance and inspiration, perfectly aligned with the celebratory tone of the evening.

The VIP Reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the E.W. Rand Center, immediately preceding the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. and the concert featuring legendary artist Eddie Levert at 9:00 p.m. The reception will include light hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, and special recognition of key university supporters and honorees. Klarc Naomi’s performance will be an exclusive experience for invited guests and ticketholders with VIP access.

“We are thrilled to welcome Klarc Naomi to Jarvis Christian University as part of our Homecoming celebration,” said Rev. Dominique Grate, Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Development. “Her artistry, professionalism, and rising national profile make her a perfect fit for an event that celebrates leadership, legacy, and excellence.”

The Pioneer Hall of Fame and Preeminence Awards Gala is held annually to honor alumni and community leaders who exemplify the values of Jarvis Christian University through professional achievement, community service, and philanthropic support. This year’s gala marks a new era of celebration and engagement, combining tradition with a refreshed sense of energy and vision for the university’s future.

Klarc Naomi, a native of Texas, is rapidly gaining recognition for her genre-defying sound, which merges gospel roots with smooth jazz, soul, and R&B. Her latest singles have been featured on multiple streaming platforms, and she has opened for prominent national artists while also headlining her own showcases across the South. Her commitment to authenticity, faith, and excellence mirrors the values embraced by the Jarvis Christian University community.

“I’m honored to be part of this incredible event and to perform for a university that has given so much to its students and community,” Klarc Naomi shared. “This will be a night to remember.”
