Jarvis Christian University women's wrestler Samyra Thomas made school history as the first Jarvis women's wrestler to compete in the NAIA Women's Wrestling National championships.

She and her practice partner Megan Ramsey and her coach Lance Brown flew to University of Jamestown in North Dakota for the competition which ran March 6-10. Thomas is ranked 6th in the country at 191 lb. weight class.
