Jarvis Christian University President Dr. Glenell M. Lee-Pruitt and Jarvis Director of Counseling Dr. Kishia James have been named to receive leadership awards at the upcoming Women Leaders @ HBCUs National Summit scheduled June 24-25 at Virginia State Univerity.
Dr. Lee-Pruitt will receive the Phenomenal Woman Award. Dr. James will receive the Dream Keepers Award.
Virginia State University’ sWomen’s LeadHERship Institute convenes this conference annually. This year’s theme is Straightening Our Crowns to Cultivate Transformative Leaders: Unsung Heroines of HBCUs. The awards will be presented during the Women Leaders @ HBCUs Conference’s Legacy Luncheon.
“We eagerly await the opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary women who are leading the way at HBCUs,” said Dr. Linda Noel-Batiste, executive director of strategic faculty initiatives and innovation and an associate professor in the department of educational leadership. “We are looking forward to celebrating Drs.
