HAWKINS, TX – April 9, 2025 – Jarvis Christian University is pleased to announce that its 2025 Commencement Exercises will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. on the historic main campus in Hawkins, Texas. The university looks forward to celebrating the academic achievements, resilience, and bright futures of the graduating Class of 2025.
This year’s ceremony will mark another proud chapter in the university’s 113-year legacy of preparing students for lives of leadership, service, and excellence. Family members, friends, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the wider Jarvis community are invited to attend and support the newest group of graduates as they cross the stage to receive their hard-earned degrees.
Additional details, including the announcement of the 2025 commencement speaker, will be shared in the coming weeks. As in previous years, Jarvis plans to welcome a distinguished speaker who will inspire and challenge the graduates with a powerful message that reflects the spirit of the university’s mission and the hope of future possibilities.

Lee-Pruitt, President of Jarvis Christian University. “This special day honors the efforts of our students, their families, and the entire Jarvis community who have supported them every step of the way.”
The ceremony will include the conferring of degrees upon graduates from the university’s traditional undergraduate programs as well as those from the School of Professional and Graduate Studies. Graduates will don their academic regalia and be honored for their success, commitment, and contribution to campus life during their time at Jarvis.
The university is preparing for a large turnout and encourages guests to arrive early for seating. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., and parking will be available on campus with assistance provided by university staff and security. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream of the commencement ceremony will be made available on the university’s website and social media platforms.
