Jarvis Christian College is continuously monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19), as it is currently in a very fluid state. The welfare of our internal and external constituents is a priority. As such, we have taken the following actions:
Extension of Spring Break
- We have extended Spring Break through March 20, 2020. However, faculty are due to return on March 16, 2020.
Winter and Spring Atheltic Programs
- The Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) has suspended all spring sports from March 13, 2020 through March 29, 2020. More information is forthcoming.
Postponement of Upcoming Activities
- The 108th Founders and Homecoming events have been postponed. We will send out correspondence shortly regarding the rescheduling of the entertainment events, specifically the performances by Webbie and the Zapp Band.
We are continuing to monitor guidance from the following agencies: Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), White House Task Force, U.S. Department of Education (USDE), Texas Health and Human Services, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Red River Athletic Conference and other state agencies.
