In anticipation of winter weather conditions expected to impact the region, Jarvis Christian University will be closed Thursday, January 9, 2025 through Friday, January 10, 2025. This precautionary closure prioritizes the safety and well-being of JCU’s students, faculty, and staff.  Please note that essential employees will work virtually on both days.

Virtual classes will continue as scheduled, and student services will remain accessible online. Students enrolled in face-to-face classes scheduled for January 9th or 10th should check Canvas for updates and instructions from their instructors. Spring '25 registration will remain ongoing virtually.

The campus is set to reopen, with all classes resuming on Monday, January 13, 2025.  In-person registration will resume at that time, beginning at 10:00 AM in the Mirror Room of the E.W. Rand Center. University administrators will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and provide updates as needed. Notifications will be shared through the JCU website, official social media channels, JCU email and local news outlets.

Be safe and be well.
