QUALIFICATIONS:
•	Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related technology area; Master’s degree preferred
•	Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in higher education
•	Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing a customer service-oriented IT unit, including systems administration, cyber security, and desktop support
•	Experience in collaborating and developing best practices for the institution 
•	Experience providing leadership as demonstrated by an understanding of the College mission and strategic priorities, and cultivation of internal and external relationships with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
•	Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
•	Experience making group presentations and training both technical and non-technical personnel
•	Experience with conflict resolution
•	Minimum 5 years of experience with Jenzabar EX/J1
•	Experience with Office 365 cloud platform
•	Experience with SQL databases
•	Technical knowledge of Windows 7and 10 and Windows Server 2008,2012,2016
•	Technical knowledge of networking concepts (Cisco Meraki preferred)
•	Communicate with leaders on technology issues affecting the College

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•	Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications, and peripherals.
•	Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.
•	Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
•	Work with faculty, staff, and the administration to develop strategies and plans to enhance services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation.
•	Manage IT staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, and discipline.
•	Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices, including written protocols, maintain accuracy and quality in any and all written materials developed.
•	Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
•	Oversee the management of the Institution’s help desk activities and technical support services and resolves escalated issues if necessary.
•	Keep abreast of the latest technologies to determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet the Institution’s system requirements.
•	Manage financial aspects of the IT Division, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
•	Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
•	Manage servers, security solutions, network hardware, equipment, and telecommunications infrastructure.
•	Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all technology equipment.
•	Perform all other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION
•	Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the immediate supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Jarvis Christian College Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual.
