Jarvis Christian University President to Preach at Smith Chapel A.M.E. Church Annual Women’s Day Service
HAWKINS, Texas — Jarvis Christian University is pleased to announce that President Rev. Dr. Glenell Lee-Pruitt will serve as the guest preacher for the Annual Women’s Day Service at Smith Chapel A.M.E. Church in Dallas on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Pastored by Rev. Dr. Mittie C. Muse, Jr., Smith Chapel A.M.E. Church has long been recognized for its commitment to spiritual growth, discipleship, and community engagement. This year’s Women’s Day celebration, centered on the theme “Discipleship by Design: Letting Our Walk Become Our Witness,” will bring together members, friends, and guests for a morning of worship celebrating the faith, leadership, and impact of women in the life of the church.
Dr. Lee-Pruitt’s invitation to preach reflects the strong relationship between Jarvis Christian University and faith communities that share a commitment to developing servant leaders and transforming lives through education and ministry. As both a university president and ordained minister, Dr. Lee-Pruitt has dedicated her career to preparing students for lives of leadership, service, and purpose while strengthening partnerships between higher education and the church.
