Jarvis Christian University celebrates senior Devaughn Woods's recognition as one of the Undergraduate Brothers of the Month by his Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The honor reflects his outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to the values of achievement and service.

Woods is a shining example of excellence inside and outside the classroom. A senior biology major with a 3.91-grade point average, Woods was elected to serve as the 25th Mister Jarvis Christian University. Student and community engagement lies at the heart of his dedication to giving back, inspiring him to create initiatives that empower and uplift others.

As a Barbara C. Jordan Leadership Institute Fellow, Undergraduate Welch Scholar, Tri-Beta Biological Honors Society member, and part-time recruiter for Jarvis Christian University, Woods exemplifies service, scholarship, and achievement. He attended the MyHBCUMatters summit in Jackson, Mississippi, where he presented a paper on civic engagement and the importance of healthcare for HBCU students. To foster civic engagement on campus, he organized impactful events to encourage students to vote in the recent presidential election.

This prestigious honor reflects DeVaugh’s outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to the values of achievement and service. As a shining example of excellence both in and out of the classroom, DeVaugh continues to make the Jarvis community proud.
