Jarvis Christian University will host a career fair Thursday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym in the E.W. Rand Center on the university campus in Hawkins. The career fair was sponsored by the Arlington Police Department. The public is invited.Representatives from Tyler Police Department, Arlington Police Department, Houston Fire Department, Garland Fire Department, Parkland Hospital, the U.S. Navy, the Social Security Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency are scheduled to attend. Universities including Stephen F. Austin State University, Dallas Baptist University, and Alabama A&M University are scheduled to talk about graduate programs. School districts including Greenville, Gladewater, Mesquite, Nacogdoches ISD and Caddo Parish Public Schools are scheduled to attend to talk about future career plans with students. Companies recently recruiting JCU students include Ernst & Young, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Citibank, Old Dominion Freight Lines, Oncor Electric and Red Hat.
