Jarvis Christian University concert choir and concert band will host a free Christmas Concert featuring sacred and secular music suited for the holidays at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 30, in the Meyer Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.
Music to celebrate the Christmas season will be performed by both groups with some solos and ensembles by band and choir students are included. The concert choir is under the direction of music director Gerald Bieritz. The concert band is under the direction of band director Michael Ray Bradley, Jr. Some of the numbers will include "Carol of the Bells" and "Do You Hear What I Hear." The band will play selections from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite" among other selections.
