HAWKINS, TX – April 7, 2025 – Jarvis Christian University proudly celebrated its 2025 Founders/Homecoming Weekend with joy, pride, and deep gratitude to the alumni, donors, students, faculty, and friends who returned home to the historic campus in Hawkins, Texas. The celebration, held March 16–23, honored the university’s 113-year legacy of academic excellence, spiritual foundation, and cultural empowerment.

This year's theme, “Rooted in Legacy, Rising in Purpose,” resonated throughout the weekend’s events—from the annual Founders Convocation and the spirited Homecoming basketball games to the alumni meetups, worship services, and the always-anticipated step show and coronation.

Jarvis Christian University extends its heartfelt thanks to all who made the weekend a resounding success. Your presence, generosity, and enthusiasm not only honored our founders but reaffirmed the community’s commitment to building a brighter future for generations of Jarvis students to come.

“Our alumni and supporters continue to show up for this institution in remarkable ways,” said Dr. Glenell M. Lee-Pruitt, President of Jarvis Christian University. “Every cheer in the gym, every gift given, and every hug exchanged over the weekend spoke volumes about what Jarvis means to so many. We are deeply grateful for the legacy that we are preserving and for the future we are building—together.”

Donors played a special role during Homecoming, with many choosing the weekend as a time to make their annual gifts to support scholarships, academic programs, and campus improvements. Their contributions help advance Jarvis’s mission to provide a transformative education grounded in faith, service, and leadership.

The university also celebrated the tireless work of the National Alumni Association and chapter leaders who organized regional gatherings and supported student success initiatives. Their efforts ensure that the bond between alumni and their alma mater continues to thrive long after graduation.

For many, Homecoming was more than a celebration—it was a reunion of hearts. From tailgating and live music to the Gospel Explosion and Founders Breakfast, the weekend was filled with moments of laughter, worship, reflection, and pride.

In true Jarvis fashion, the campus was filled with blue and gold spirit, and the stories shared—across generations—reminded everyone of the strength and resilience that define the Jarvis legacy.
