Jarvis Christian University announces Issac D. Bivins has joined the university as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations.
A Dallas native, Bivins is a 2019 graduate of Jarvis with a degree in social work. He was the 2018-2019 Mr. Jarvis. He was a Pre-Alumni Council member, worked as an officer with Student Government Association, and played percussion in the Sophisticated Sounds of Soul band. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
Bivins has worked as a teacher, counselor, and mentor for several nonprofits serving schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, focusing on academic, behaviorial, and social services needs of students from underrepresented communities.
As assistant alumni director, Bivins leads the Pre-Alumni Council, handles alumni social media platforms, and is building young alumni engagement with the university.
