HAWKINS, TX — Jarvis Christian University is excited to announce that nationally known comedian and entertainer Darren King will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the university’s prestigious Pioneer Hall of Fame and Preeminence Awards Gala, to be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the E.W. Rand Center. With his signature humor and magnetic stage presence, King is expected to bring energy, charm, and laughter to an evening dedicated to celebrating leadership, legacy, and excellence.
A beloved figure on the comedy circuit, Darren King—affectionately known as "Big Baby"—has earned a reputation for his quick wit, clean humor, and ability to engage diverse audiences. The gala will also feature musical performances by renowned saxophonist Theresa Grayson, rising star Klarc Naomi, and headliner Eddie Levert, the legendary lead singer of The O’Jays.
