Jarvis Christian College is accepting applications for the CARES Act Emergency Grant Aid Relief Fund on January 18, 2023 . The Emergency Grant Aid is to provide direct support to students impacted by the change in College operations due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The application will remain available online until February 18, 2023 . Funds will be disbursed after the application period has closed and applicants have been verified.
The CARES Act included the Emergency Grant Aid Relief Fund for students directly impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic as it relates to cost of attendance to cover categories such as technology, child care, food, travel, course materials, transportation, supplies and/or college account balances.
According to the Department of Education, in order to be eligible to receive to Emergency Grant Aid Relief, students must meet the following requirements:
- Students must have been enrolled at Jarvis Christian College Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, Spring 2022 and or Summer 2022
- Students must be eligible to apply for financial aid through FASFA (This excludes international and DACA students)
- Applicants must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Applicants must have a valid social security number
- The online application is a simple form asking for name, student ID number, and current mailing address. Applicants can check categories to indicate what financial needs they have as a result of the continued impact of COVID-19.
- Students must sign up for direct deposit if they have not done so.
